good food, good company and good memories. this meal will probably make my week. it's the first time all 4 of us met since coming back from the States. catching up and talking about all that crazy stuff we did just makes me feel so nostalgic. a few more weeks and it would have been 1 year since we left for Austin. oh my oh my, time sure does flies. interesting discovery of the day. my AIS prof appeared in the Singapore book of records for travelling the most number of places in the world. 180 countries/territories. can't believe that guy lecturing in the front of the LT is actually so zai. i was lucky to have escaped tonight's mrt glitch unaffected. else i'd probably have been the one breaking the mrt window. looking at the number of complains and updates on facebook is pretty scary. don't know what's wrong with the transport system here. its getting more and more screwed up. oh and taxi fares just rose by god knows how much. basically there's surcharge for most of the day. forever rising fares, super long waiting times, uncountable number of breakdowns. damn it, this is singapore, an island so small its just a red dot on the map. and i have to take 1.5 hr minimum to get home from work. 1+ hr to get to school and to town. i wonder how much of my life is spent making such wasteful journeys. i'm looking forward to the weekends ( : |
