where's the excitement now that exams are over?each person is represented by a thread. and countless different threads entangle together to form a sea of strings. some threads may overlap while others won't. those which overlap may get entwined together for just a short moment while others stay tied together longer. if two threads stay tangled together long enough, a knot forms. sadly, a pair of scissors is all it takes to cut the knot and the two threads will be free from each other forever. more importantly, no two threads go parallel to each other forever. this is how i like to think of people i meet. there has been so many overlaps in my thread but not that many knots. few are here to stay. most come and go. but those few who stay are those whom i really treasure and love. i haven't thought about this in a long time. but now that i'm starting to pack up, this painting of threads has been floating around in my mind again. i wonder how many people i've met here will i ever see again? it's just so sad. friendships and bonds that were forged in the short time spent here. it's just different when you're thrown into foreign land and have to depend on each other to survive. a wave of nostalgia and sadness has been washing over me repeatedly in the past few days. i can't believe my 4.5 months in Austin is coming to an end. ------------------------------------------------------- 從前我在太空艙 小角色一個我 流落宇宙某一方 還多麼感激給我大時代 流星中編織非一般戀愛 銀河鐵路看風光 星與星穿插過 能被記下已不多 這份愛不夠夢幻 你都不放棄不轉彎 i finally have time to look at the lyrics and read it. so mushy. yet so sweet. and you keep appearing in my mind every time i play this song. sometimes, i just need some reassurance. alot of it.. but i know nothing can change the uncertainty. <3 |
