Austin, texas. the journey there was crazy. 24 hours. Singapore to HK, HK to Chicago, Chicago to Austin. the long plane ride nearly killed me.
and so we went out to explore Chicago since we had a 9hour transit. it was -5 degrees and all our thick clothes were checked in. so it was kinda like a saddistic adventure venturing around and hiding indoors every 15 minutes.
back to Austin. UT, my school for the next 5 months. the school pride here is just crazy. everybody is so proud of being from UT. the mascot is printed on everything you can ever think of. this will seriously never ever happen in nus.
and it's hard getting used to the american culture. people are just so much more outgoing and i find it difficult to share so many things about myself when i barely know them. like people just ask how you are and say hi on the streets even you don't know them. i'll freak out if this happens in Singapore man. but it's good too caz everybody is just so friendly. they're so eager to share about this place and introduce the place.
i'm horribly home sick. even though it's only the 3rd day here. the 14 hours time difference makes everything so much worse. when i'm online in mid-day, the whole world is asleep at home.
