i feel very enriched after today's journey to kowloon city. finally saw for myself the kowloon walled city park and where my parents grew up. i know so much more about my roots now and all of this kinda sparks an interest for me to dig back into where my entire family originated in China generations ago. my grandfather mentioned that everything can be traced back into the song dynasty, which was hundreds of years ago. amazing man.
at the kowloon walled city park, it's quite amazing to know that the very same grounds I was standing on was this super duper densely populated place filled with unlicensed dentists, triads, just less than 20 years ago. how quickly things can change and the entire kowloon walled city has been demolished. what's left is this serene park which is a total contrast to what it used to be.
