today, i wore my 99 jersey for the last time. suddenly i don't regret not changing my number. haha. i was looking at my washed red jersey and it dawned upon me that this shirt walked me thru almost all my matches and friendlys.
remember my best and worst performances and looking at how much we've improved.
its more than the medal. it is just a piece of metal. what i treasure more is the friendship, laughter, tears, company and many things the game itself has taught me- perserverance, teamwork, determination, unpredictability, the fighting spirit i saw in my team, giving my all and having no regrets.
and i know this is only temporary. i won't give it up just like that, not the sport that i've come to like so much. i can't wait to hold my stick and play a real game again.
