back from hk. all i can say about Spore now is that its damn hot. really not used to this hot weather from hk's not very cold winter. and their company. this place feels too empty. really too too empty.its weird to think that i was just there 3 days ago. the difference in lifestyles, culture and people is what attracts me to that place. i like the crowd there. yeah, it makes getting around irritating at times but i jsut don't like the feeling of emptyness. people and noise brightens up the surroundings. but i also like the fact that there are so many nearby islands that are just a ferry ride away. the peace and tranquility there is really a break from the city. how ironic huh. i like the cheap stuff there and the fact that even if you are just buying a pair of socks or a water bottle, the shopkeepers there are so sincere about helping you many a times. i like the fact that people there are willing to spend unlike those here. i like the many small shopping malls that sell cheap yet good stuff only known to locals. i like the fact that even late into the night, there's always something to do. i like the city for it never sleeps. i like the fact that just a simple thing like an occasional clear day brightens up your day. i like the fact that we get to queue at the hk permanent id card line when we cross immigration which makes me feel that i'm coming home. i like the fact taht hk-ers are so open about voicing out their opinions though their requests are really absurd at times. most imporatantly, i love my family there, those who i know will always be there for me. i'm back in singapore. but its ok. caz i know i'm 1 step closer to going back to hk again. its ok. i don't care what people say to me about this. all i care is that this is what i really want to tell them. that its the small small things that draws me back there. school's starting in 2 days and i still haven't started on my gp work. urgh. |
